Job Description

Mountville Rubber Company is a custom rubber mixing business that provides internal and external customers with 45 million pounds of un-cured rubber across several industries from two manufacturing facilities in Lagrange, GA. Annual sales in 2023 totaled $60,000,000.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct inspections and/or tests on raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products to ensure adherence to specifications and quality standards.
  • Use various testing equipment and methods, including tensile strength, MDR, durometer, and other tests specific to rubber products.
  • Collaborate with production teams to address quality issues, troubleshoot defects, and implement corrective actions.
  • Monitor production processes and ensure compliance with company, policies, regulatory requirements, and safety standards.


Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3-5 years manufacturing experience in a manufacturing or quality role required; 2+yrs experience in quality control, preferable in manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to read and interpret technical specifications and test standards.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.


Working Conditions:

In addition to computer work, this position requires working in a manufacturing environment where personal protective equipment is necessary. The ability to stand for long periods and climb stairs is required. The successful applicant must be comfortable working in a manufacturing environment, which may include getting dirty and exposure to noise and heat/cold.

Shift: 3rd(11pm-7am)


Compensation: Based upon qualifications, experience, and education. Salary can range from $18-$20/hr.
