This is a position as an Ice Cream Quality Tech on 2nd shift at Ice Cream Specialties (a division of Prairie Farms Dairy) in Lafayette, IN. 2nd shift hours: 2 PM-10 PM (will be discussed in interview); Monday - Friday ( some mandatory Saturdays depending on business needs).
Hourly Rate: $17.17/hr + $1/hr shift premium when working hours 2 PM-10 PM.
General Purpose To test and ensure proper standards for all products to meet company, state and federal guidelines.

Some laboratory experience is preferred. There is a 90-day probationary period.
Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a team group setting and must be able to work with several people at a time. The employee must be willing to work in the freezer for up to one hour at a time (-20º). The noise level in the work environment can be extremely loud.
Physical Demands:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to be able to work standing for long periods of time. Must be able to climb stairs multiple times a day and stoop, kneel, reach, lift repetitively. This job requires being able to lift approximately 45 lbs and carrying it 50 feet. Hands may be washed more than 10 times a day. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus. Due to data entry requirements, the employee must have manual dexterity for repetitive keystrokes. This job requires corrected hearing.
