Job Description

About the job

Delart is home to a team of world-class engineers and project leaders dedicated to developing the next generation of advanced networking technologies, consumer devices, and innovative technology solutions. Trusted by some of the world’s leading technology companies, we deliver highly scalable, mission-critical solutions that power both consumer and business applications globally. Since our founding in 2017, we have been at the forefront of designing cutting-edge networking, telecommunications, and consumer products, while driving end-to-end project execution and creating transformative technology applications.

Join our dynamic engineering lab team as a Lab Project Manager, where you will be instrumental in driving the innovation and testing of cutting-edge technologies and products for data centers. This role encompasses managing lab projects from inception to completion, including testbed setup, systems integration, testing, and decommissioning. You will also lead infrastructure enhancement projects, ensuring the lab's physical and network capabilities meet the demands of our engineers. Success in this role hinges on your ability to collaborate with engineers, vendors, and facility operations personnel, utilizing your diverse technical expertise in electrical, mechanical, structural, and network domains.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the end-to-end execution of testbed installations, systems integrations, testing, and decommissioning activities involving mechanical, electrical, controls, building, and network technologies.
  • Oversee lab infrastructure projects, including network deployment and maintenance, in collaboration with Network and Server teams.
  • Collaborate with engineers, third-party vendors, and lab personnel to deliver high-impact lab projects, establishing and executing project charters, goals, roadmaps, metrics, communication plans, and status reports.
  • Proactively identify and overcome project challenges, ensuring smooth hardware development, equipment procurement, delivery, installation, and infrastructure readiness during new testbed constructions.
  • Manage heavy equipment receiving and delivery logistics with vendors and lab teams.
  • Simultaneously oversee multiple lab projects, developing test plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) alongside engineers and technicians.
  • Maintain clear and consistent communication with cross-functional teams regarding project updates, risks, budgets, and timelines, leveraging tools such as Google Drive, G Suite, MS Outlook, SharePoint, and wiki platforms.
  • Identify and implement efficiency and reliability improvements in large-sized and heavy data-center testbed builds and lab infrastructure processes and tooling.
  • Ensure vendor, contractor, and stakeholder activities align with processes, procedures, and standards.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate's degree in engineering with 8+ years of industry experience, or a Bachelor's degree in a related field with 5+ years of relevant experience
  • Proven expertise in data center mechanical, electrical, building structural, controls, networking, and infrastructure technologies.
  • 7+ years of experience in electrical, HVAC, mechanical, controls, or network connectivity construction or critical facility maintenance.
  • 5+ years of experience managing teams or cross-functional (XFN) teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage large-scale lab infrastructure rollouts (such as for data centers), SLA delivery, troubleshooting, and vendor management.
  • Strong skills in project management, with experience in vendor management, contracts, and resolution of escalated issues.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of effectively engaging technical and non-technical stakeholders.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance lab infrastructure efficiency and reliability.
  • Proven capability to create comprehensive project documentation and presentations.
  • Comfort working in unstructured environments, with an adaptive and solution-focused mindset.
