Position Duties

Temporary roles vary in nature and scope. These roles are short-term and long-term, but are not permenant. Roles are not eligible for the same benefits as regular employees.

Essential Functions

Procurement,preparationandmaintenanceofmaterialsandequipmenttosupportlaboratory instruction.

Workwithfacultytoarrangeforpreparationofreagentsandgatheringandarrangingofequipmentforalllab courses.

Maintainthecleanlinessofprep-lab, instructionallabs,and storageareasin collaboration with faculty members and work-study students.

Coordinateeffortsofwork-studystudentstoassistwithpreparationoflabsandclean-upofteachingandpreparatorylabspaces.

Develop and maintain a chemical inventory.

Coordinatethestorageanddisposalof biological and chemicalwastewith EHS.

Duties vary throughout these roles.

Non essential: Performs all other duties and responsibilities as assigned or directed by the supervisor. This may include attendance of and participation in required training for role.

Physical/Environmental Example

Instructional and research laboratory prep requires some exposure dry chemicals and solvents commonly used in forensic science. Packages delivered to the department may require lifting 10-50 pounds and some have no physical.

Final compensation offers are determined by a variety of factors, including but not limited to, job-related experience, internal equity, and alignment with organizational budget.
