Join AlixLabs and help bring new semiconductor technology to the global market
AlixLabs is developing patented technology that could help shape the next generation of semiconductor manufacturing. As we prepare for future customer deployments and international growth, we are looking for a Lab & Field Operations Manager who wants to play a central role in taking our technology from the laboratory into customer environments around the world.
As Lab & Field Operations Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring that AlixLabs' equipment operates reliably and efficiently within our laboratory environment in Lund. Working closely with process engineers, suppliers and external partners, you will establish the maintenance routines, operational processes and ways of working needed to support both ongoing development activities and future customer deliveries.
Initially, your focus will be on laboratory operations, equipment reliability and preventive maintenance. As the company evolves and the first systems are deployed, your responsibilities will gradually expand towards installation management, service activities and customer support. Over time, you will become an important part of bringing AlixLabs' technology from the laboratory into customer environments, supporting the deployment and evaluation of new systems at some of the world's most advanced semiconductor manufacturers.
This is a hands-on role with a high degree of ownership and influence. You will help establish functions and processes that are essential to the company's continued growth while working at the intersection of technology, product development and customer delivery. Your responsibilities will include:
Taking responsibility for the operation, maintenance and long-term reliability of laboratory equipment
Establishing preventive maintenance routines, documentation and operational processes
Collaborating closely with process engineers, suppliers and manufacturing partners
Supporting future customer installations and commissioning activities worldwide
Establishing the foundation for AlixLabs' future service and support capabilities
The role includes international travel and close collaboration with customers, suppliers and partners. As AlixLabs continues to grow and expand globally, visiting manufacturing partners and customer sites will become a natural part of the role.
We are looking for someone who enjoys working close to complex technical systems and thrives in environments where precision, reliability and continuous improvement are part of everyday work. You have experience with sophisticated equipment and understand what it takes to maintain high operational standards in demanding environments.
Experience from the semiconductor industry is valuable, but we are equally interested in candidates from other high-tech sectors such as vacuum technology, scientific instrumentation, photonics, advanced manufacturing, research facilities or process industries. More important than your industry background is your ability to understand technical systems, work in a structured way and your curiosity to learn.
You have likely worked in laboratory or cleanroom environments and have experience with vacuum systems, gases or similar process equipment. You may have been involved in installation, commissioning, maintenance or service of complex systems and understand the importance of documentation and preventive maintenance. Experience coordinating projects, leading technical activities or supporting teams is also highly relevant.
As a person, you are self-driven, practical and comfortable taking ownership. You enjoy working independently while collaborating closely with specialists from different technical disciplines and cultural backgrounds. You bring structure where needed, have a genuine interest in technology and are motivated by the opportunity to help create something new.
Fluency in English, both written and spoken, is required.
With strong investor backing, growing industry interest and a technology that addresses some of the semiconductor industry's most pressing challenges, AlixLabs is entering one of the most exciting phases in the company's history. As a relatively small company, your contribution will be visible from day one.
For the right person, this is an opportunity to join at a stage where the foundations are still being built. You will have the chance to influence how laboratory operations, installations and future field service activities are organised, while helping prepare the company for international growth and customer deployments.
You will join a highly skilled and international team where expertise, curiosity and collaboration are valued. The environment is entrepreneurial, decisions are made quickly and there is significant opportunity to take ownership and make an impact.
As AlixLabs expands, this position offers increasing responsibility and the opportunity to play a key role in building the company's future operations and field service capabilities. For someone who enjoys leadership, there is also potential to take on formal team leadership responsibilities over time.
If you are excited by advanced engineering, enjoy solving practical challenges and want to be part of bringing a new semiconductor technology to market, this could be the opportunity you have been looking for.
