The EngineeringTechnologyCo-op Student provides mechanical and/or electricaltestingsupport in the development of new components and products as well as in the improvement in performance, reliability and cost of existing components and productsThis individual will workwith,engineering technicians and design engineers daily,participatingin the setup, execution, datacollectionand reporting on engineeringtestIn this role, the Co-op Student will:
Major Responsibilities:
Perform testing to support customer requests and inquiries.
Participate in development projects by executingconcept validation, design qualification and manufacturing validationtestingincludingdocumentation.
Participate in reliability testing for new product development launchprograms
Support product sustainability engineering and agency teamsthroughtest execution
Exposure to electrical and mechanical build up and teardowns
Exposure and experience in working with global cross functional teams.
Participate in training, specifically, on boarding, safety training, monthly lab training, solderingtrainingand specific equipment training as applicable
PreferredEducation / Experience / Skills:
The ideal candidate will have an aptitude for learning about and using mechanical and/or electrical design tools to developnew designsandoptimizethose that already existGood listening,communicationand technical comprehension skills arerequiredto develop successful designs in a team environment
Currently pursuingan Associate orBachelors Mechanical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical EngineeringTechnologyor a relevant Engineeringfield
No experiencerequired
Good verbal and written communication skills amongst global and cross functional teams, witha highattention to details.
Basic mechanical skills and understanding of hand tools
Proficient in Microsoft Office suit (Word, Excel, PowerPoint,ect)
Critical thinking andproblem-solvingskills.
Ability towork towardsaspecific action plan,based onpriority
GPA of 3.0 or above
Self-directed work ethic. A positive, can-do, whatever-it-takes attitude.
