
Lab Associate - Lab
Full-time, second shift
Perform the pre-analytic phase of patient specimen testing to ensure accurate and quality results. Gather demographic and financial information pertinent for the lab visit to enable customer satisfaction and financial viability and enter data into Hospital Information System. Transcribe outpatient lab orders and perform entry of some test results received from outside reference laboratories. Assist with non-blood specimen collection for legal urine drug screen testing. Assist in processing laboratory specimens and delivering them to the respective departments. Provide excellent customer service via telephone and in person interactions with clinical staff and non-hospital employees
Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Preferred Qualifications:
Previous experience working in a clinical laboratory or healthcare setting is preferred.
Knowledge of laboratory processes and procedures is preferred but not required.
On-the-job training will be provided.
