Primary Duties and Responsibilities

As the Lab Assistant you will assist in ordering, receiving, and distributing laboratory equipment and supplies and maintaining stock solutions. You will also help with processing biospecimens (blood, tumor, CSF) from patients on clinical trials. Additionally, you will help with the analysis of tumor tissue using multiplex immunofluorescence and CODEX. Administrative work will also be required, including maintenance of records, and workspace. You will be expected to follow all laboratory safety practices.

Necessary skills and experience include knowledge of sterile technique, peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) isolation, microtome sectioning of tissue, and tissue culture. Must be able to follow standard operating procedures and work collaboratively with others.

Please note, this is a full-time 12-month limited position and may convert to career.

Salary Range: $25.75 - $30.17/Hourly


Job Qualifications

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in a science-related discipline and at least one year of laboratory experience. Knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned.
  • Ability to follow through with tasks and prioritize work under general supervision and demonstrate excellent organization.
  • Familiarity with Halo and/or QPath software.
