In line with our business expansion, we would like to invite qualified and candidates to fill the following position at FGV R&D Sdn Bhd

Job Purpose

To perform the responsibilities of a laboratory analyst by conducting assigned genomics research and molecular service activities, and ensuring accurate and timely reporting of all results.

Key Accountabilities/Indvidual Accountabilities

· Responsible for receiving and processing samples delivered to the laboratory for genomic research activities or marker screening services, including performing sample inventory recording and management.

· Conduct genomic DNA extraction, gel electrophoresis, DNA quantification and quality assessment, PCR amplification, digestion, and qPCR tasks.

· Ensure accuracy, reliability, and quality of all assigned laboratory tasks.

· Assist in scheduling and monitoring daily laboratory operations, including recording and reporting laboratory results.

· Responsible for changing reagents and consumables on genomic equipment as required.

· Ensure that other technicians are able to complete their sample processing using the appropriate equipment.

· Report any laboratory operational issues to the laboratory supervisor or executive promptly.

· Perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to immediate work changes when necessary.

· Actively participate in HSE and KSR FGVIC activities within the workplace.

· Provide the necessary technical support to ensure efficient laboratory operations while adhering to correct procedures and health & safety guidelines.

· Communicate effectively with colleagues to ensure high-quality task delivery.

o Sample handling and processing according to SOPs.

o Ability to perform molecular laboratory work, record data, and report results accurately.

· Learning and adapting to improved or updated laboratory techniques.

· Troubleshooting technical issues arising during standard laboratory procedures.

Qualifications And Working Experience

· Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM)

· Additional skills certificate (e.g., computer skills)

· Minimum two (2) years of work experience related to computer skills or similar tasks.

Location

· Based at FGV Innovation Centre (Biotechnology), Genomics Unit, Bandar Enstek, Negeri Sembilan.
