Salary Range: $23.00 - $28.00 Hourly

Job Shift: 1st Shift SUMMARY OF POSITION
This position is responsible for the assembly of precision aerospace components
This position is in Northstar’s Warehouse Department, and reports to the Production Supervisor.  The position works with all levels of employees throughout the organization as necessary, but does not direct the work of other employees. This is a full-time position.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential duties and responsibilities of this position are listed below.  This list is not all inclusive and may be amended by Northstar, from time to time.
- Responsible for the assembly of precision aerospace components
- Responsible for using standard written procedures to complete work
- Responsible for using standard tools to install hardware (i.e., nuts, bolts, rivets, liners, etc.)
- Maintain highly efficient work process using Lean principles to support cost reduction activity

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES
This position will not direct the work of any other employees.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

- Frequent standing, walking, talking, hearing and seeing
- Frequent lifting of up to 35 pounds
- Frequent reaching, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, pushing, pulling, fingering, grasping, feeling, twisting, bending and repetitive motion
- Occasional sitting, writing and typing
- Visual acuity to determine the accuracy and thoroughness of product and/or parts
- Frequent exposure to moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles
- Frequent exposure to moderate to heavy noise
- The ability to wear proper personal protective equipment, including earplugs, safety glasses, safety shoes, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
Education Required:  High School diploma or equivalent experience
Experience Required: 1 year in aerospace assembly environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED AND/OR PREFERRED
