Job Description

We are looking for a competent individual to be part of the R&D department of DICV. The R&D department is responsible for designing and developing all products of DICV.

The individual will be working for Homologation and technical Governance function, responsible for the following tasks:

  • Planning, coordination and accompaniment emission certification according to applicable legislation

  • Planning, coordination and accompaniment vehicle, system and component type approval certification according to applicable legislation

  • Planning, coordination and accompaniment of associated acceptance tests on the vehicle/ system / engine test bench

  • Preparation of all required documents for type approval

  • Coordination of technical details with internal and external interfaces (development, technical service etc.)

  • Coordination and liaising with technical services and approval authorities for type approval

  • On-time acquisition of required type approvals

  • Evaluation of ongoing product changes in terms of certification relevance, effort and schedule

  • Advice to internal customers regarding homologation-relevant inquiries

  • Study, understand and dissemination of new regulatory requirements

Education: Master/ Bachelor/Diploma in Mechanical / Automobile engineering disciplines

2. Skill set:

  • Knowledge of the relevant emission and safety regulation for commercial vehicles and the type-approval process – India and Export markets
  • Experience in dealing with type-approval authorities and technical services
  • 6-8 years of automotive OEM experience in Homologation & Regulations
  • Knowledge in ECE/EEC/Indian CMVR/AIS regulations
  • Knowledge in regulation reading and skill to interpret regulation for product decisions
  • Understanding of Product specifications, BOM and drawings; Skills in DMU Mock-up
  • Ability to perform Pre-homologation inspection of vehicles w.r.t checklist and preparation of application documents
  • Good presentation and communication skills
  • Assertiveness as well as the ability to work in a team
  • Know-how /Expertise in handling of Digital solutions – MS Power++ applications and AI will be added advantage
