As a L2 Network and Security Back-Office Engineer, you play a critical role in maintaining the digital backbone that supports ENGIE's global operations. Your expertise ensures business continuity, drives automation, and strengthens our security posture every day.
 
What You'll Do
 
- Resolve P2, P3, and P4 incidents efficiently, minimizing business impact through swift coordination with internal teams and third-party providers.
- Execute standard and normal changes following strict change management protocols, including preparing Detailed Intervention Plans during business and non-business hours.
- Automate deployment processes and develop reusable technical frameworks to streamline operations and reduce manual intervention.
- Maintain and update assets in the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) for accurate tracking and lifecycle management.
- Set up monitoring, configure backups, and perform regular maintenance across network and security infrastructure.
- Update operational procedures and technical documentation to reflect current configurations and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless service delivery across complex environments.
 
What You Bring
 
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- At least 2 years of experience in network and security operations within complex infrastructure environments.
- Hands-on knowledge of Cisco LAN/Wi-Fi, SD-WAN, Palo Alto, Fortinet firewalls, F5, Zscaler, and DNS/DHCP technologies.
- Familiarity with AWS/Azure cloud-native network and security services, BGP, OSPF, and VPC routing.
- Experience with automation tools such as Ansible, AWS API Gateway, and AWS Lambda.
- Working knowledge of ITIL standards, ServiceNow, and monitoring tools like Spectrum, Splunk, or Netscout.
- Proficiency in spoken and written English and French (minimum B1 level).
- A structured, proactive approach with the ability to work autonomously and adapt to shifting priorities.
