Step into the role of KYC AVP at Barclays, where you'll play a pivotal role in shaping the future. In this pivotal role you will manage operations within a business area and maintain processes, risk management initiatives, and compliance with relevant regulators. You will take ownership of your work, ensuring it aligns with the relevant rules & regulations, and codes of conduct.
You will support business objectives by maintaining effective KYC processes, strengthening financial crime controls, managing high-risk customer reviews, and fostering strong relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
You may be assessed on key critical skills relevant for success in role such as:
Strong experience in KYC Operations with deep understanding of customer onboarding, periodic reviews, and lifecycle management.
Proven expertise in AML (Anti-Money Laundering) and Financial Crime Compliance frameworks.
Extensive experience in Customer Due Diligence (CDD) and Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) processes, including high-risk customer reviews.
Demonstrated People Leadership experience, with the ability to lead, coach, and develop high-performing teams.
Proven ability to make sound risk-based decisions independently and operate effectively with minimal supervision.
Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with experience engaging senior business and risk stakeholders.
Desirable skills set:
Experience in Vendor Governance, including oversight of third-party service providers and operational performance management.
Experience managing KYC/AML Remediation, regulatory reviews, and large-scale remediation activities.
Proven track record of leading operational excellence and process transformation initiatives within KYC and Financial Crime environments.
Ability to influence strategic discussions and build strong partnerships across business, operations, compliance, and risk functions.
