Job Description

A day in your life with us

In Goods Handout, we are committed to giving customers the best possible end to their shopping experience when collecting goods ordered either in-store or online. We are confident working independently, while also knowing when to involve and support one another when needed. As part of our team, you will enjoy a varied range of tasks. Your primary responsibility, however, will be assisting the many customers who come to collect their orders. The orders are stored on trolleys, which you will bring out to customers when they arrive.

Your responsibilities will include:
• Handing over orders to customers.
• Managing sold items that are unexpectedly out of stock.
• Scanning and quality-checking orders to ensure customers receive the correct products in good condition.
• Performing other ad hoc tasks as required.

Why we will love you

At IKEA, we are passionate about creating great customer experiences. That is why we are looking for someone who is passionate about delivering excellent customer service and is not afraid to take a hands-on approach. Your background may be varied; what matters most is that you enjoy meeting many people every day and are comfortable with physical work.

We also value that you:
• Enjoys meeting different people every day and makes customers feel welcome and cared for.
• Thrive in a role with routine tasks.
• Have strong logical thinking skills and attention to detail.
• Work independently and demonstrate discipline in your daily work.
• Stays calm in a busy environment and is comfortable making decisions that help both customers and the team.

Our team within IKEA

You will become part of a strong and supportive team of both full-time and part-time co-workers within our customer relations area, which also includes the Checkout team, Returns, and Entrance/Småland. Together, we work hard to create a great experience for every customer who visits us, and we collaborate closely with colleagues across the store every day.
This means you'll have the opportunity to work with many different people, build valuable relationships, and become part of a team where we support each other, share responsibilities, and succeed together. We are committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone can be themselves and feel welcome for who they are.
We will provide you with the training and support you need to feel confident, comfortable, and well-equipped to succeed in your role.
