The Mechanic Fleet Coordinator is responsible for diagnosing and repairing ambulances and all other road vehicles under minimal supervision.
Essential FunctionsDrives company vehicles in accordance with Company driving policies. Notifies management immediately of any accident involving a Company vehicle(s); or damage or loss of any Company property. Inspect, maintain, and repair the following: brake, tires, warranty procedures, driveline, steering and suspension, electrical trouble shooting, A/C overhauls, and rebuild of engines and/or suspensions. Follows strict schedules of maintenance; performs the required maintenance in a timely manner. Observe, diagnose, prioritize and repair various mechanical and electrical problems. Uses various diagnostic equipment, tools and other shop equipment. Test drives each vehicle over approved route, which includes a combination of city streets and highways for no less than 5 miles.
Minimum EducationHigh School diploma or GED is required. Minimum Work ExperienceAt least 5 years' experience as a front-line mechanic in both gasoline and diesel engines, electrical, brakes, suspension systems, transmissions and A.C, or equivalent combination of education experience. Required LicensesOtherASE Certification required.Possess and maintain a valid Ohio Driver's License with ≤ four (4) points; and approval by Companyinsurance provider to drive Company vehicles.
