KT & Technical Support

The KT & Technical Support position aims to ensure the proper transfer and adoption of the technical value proposition of the company’s products, technologies, and agronomic systems. This includes adapting them to local production conditions and ensuring their effective execution in the field.

The role acts as a regional technical reference, providing strategic support to commercial teams and strengthening relationships with farmers, distributors, strategic partners, technical leaders, and academia, directly contributing to the sustainable growth of the business in Mexico.

Your Tasks & Responsibilities

    • Transfer the technical value proposition of our technologies, products, and agronomic systems to regional commercial teams.
    • Understand the yield environment as well as the technical and commercial requirements of the regional agronomic system. Implement best practices and address customer needs to anticipate market demands.
    • Influence and establish effective relationships with third parties to ensure proper execution of our training platforms (CTB, Bayer Academy).
    • Implement the Agronomic knowledge transfer plan, including relevant in-person events (Regional Learning Centers, Field Positioning Tours, and Technical Value Proposition meetings), as well as maximize the use of digital tools (FieldView, Carlota, digital mapping, webinars, videos, podcasts, and virtual tours).
    • Develop and strengthen solid relationships with key local stakeholders to better understand the regional agronomic system.
    • Provide local support for the launch of new products and systems, as well as for the implementation of business strategic guidelines.
    • Demonstrate intermediate presentation and pedagogical skills to create a positive impact on both internal and external stakeholders.
    • Act as the first point of contact for Agronomic Services for all technical topics and value proposition opportunities related to strategic crops (corn, cotton, tomato, potato, pecan, apple, fruits, and vegetables, among others), ensuring proper escalation and resolution of each case.

Regenerative agriculture training:

    • Facilitate the transfer of knowledge on specific techniques such as cover crop management, diversified rotation, reduced tillage, and application of organic matter to improve soil health.

Technical Knowledge Transfer

    • Communicate and translate the technical value proposition of products, technologies, and agronomic systems to commercial teams and external customers.
    • Serve as the first technical point of contact for inquiries, opportunities, and risks related to strategic crops in the portfolio.
    • Ensure technical consistency and alignment with Agronomic Services and Commercial strategies.

Technical Support and Market Development

    • Provide specialized technical support to:
      • Sales teams
      • Farmers
      • Distributors and business partners
    • Actively participate in the launch of new products, technologies, and agronomic systems.
    • Generate technical feedback from the market to support business decision-making.

Agronomic System Knowledge

    • Analyze and understand the production, environmental, and commercial conditions of the assigned region.
    • Anticipate market needs by identifying trends, technical gaps, and opportunities.

Training and Learning Platforms

    • Implement the regional knowledge transfer plan, including:
      • Technical Value Proposition meetings
      • Positioning tours for seeds and crop protection products
    • Coordinate and collaborate with third parties (academia, consultants, strategic partners) for the proper execution of training platforms.
    • Promote the use of digital tools (digital agriculture, analytics, virtual events).

Who You Are:

  1. Bachelor’s degree in: Agronomy, Agricultural Engineering, Forestry Engineering or Biology (with an agricultural focus)
  2. Postgraduate studies (specialization, Master’s, or PhD): desirable, not mandatory
  3. Minimum 3 years of experience in: Agribusiness, Market Development, Technical Support, Applied agronomic research
  4. Proven experience in agricultural production systems, preferably in row crops.
  5. Advanced knowledge in: Applied agronomy, Seed and/or crop protection portfolio, Agronomic practices and crop management (especially corn.
  6. Use and analysis of digital tools and digital agriculture platforms.
  7. Intermediate field research skills: Protocol design, Agronomic data generation and interpretation.
  8. Basic business management knowledge:
      • Product forecasting
      • Demand generation
      • Financial indicators (P&L, margins, budget)

Languages

    • English: Upper-intermediate level
