THE OPPORTUNITY

We are now appointing a founding KS2 Educator with an appetite for innovation to help bring this model to life.

From April 2026 (part-time), you will design the academic architecture for KS2 — mapping mastery progression, sequencing core knowledge, and building clear assessment benchmarks. This development work can run alongside your current role and will be competitively compensated.

From September 2026, you will join the founding team as Edge Academy’s KS2 Educator, working alongside fellow educators and a dedicated support team.

Interviews will be conducted on a rolling basis to early applications are encouraged.

What Makes This Role Different

Morning: Academic Mastery

AI handles personalisation. You ensure precision.

Mornings focus on mastery of Mathematics, Reading, Science, Languages and Computing, fully aligned to the English National Curriculum. They are delivered in a focused, high-intensity morning block of approximately three hours, leveraging adaptive technology and expert teaching to maximise learning efficiency.

You will:

  • Design and maintain clear KS2 progression pathways
  • Define mastery benchmarks and non-negotiables
  • Use live data to identify and close gaps quickly
  • Deliver short, sharp, high-impact workshops
  • Ensure automaticity, depth and secondary readiness

Afternoon: Applied Intelligence

Afternoons translate knowledge into action. Projects. Public speaking. Leadership. Entrepreneurship. Real problems. Real audiences. Real outcomes.

You will:

  • Lead structured, high-energy life-skills workshops
  • Coach every child to speak with clarity and confidence
  • Develop resilience, ownership and goal-setting
  • Facilitate projects culminating in tangible outputs
  • Build a culture where effort and excellence are unmistakable

The same Educator supports learners throughout the day, ensuring deep relational trust and coherence between mastery and application.

Founding Responsibilities

As a founding Educator, you will also:

  • Shape systems within a start-up environment
  • Establish behavioural and academic norms from day one
  • Help recruit and model the calibre of future Educators
  • Refine the operating model as we scale
