With our large, nationally dispersed workforce at Boral, we deploy Chris21 and UKG/Kronos Time and Attendance systems. An opportunity has arisen for a UKG System Specialist to ensure the UKG/Kronos system correctly reflects business requirements and operates with high performance and availability. The role will extend to assisting with system configuration, setup and maintenance whilst also providing ongoing support on system conversions, upgrades and enhancements. With a strong background in payroll and a natural continuous improvement mindset, you will be able to identify needs and create workable system solutions to improve and optimise the UKG system.

Your day will involve:

  • Supporting UKG/Kronos system functionality, system and device administration
  • Exporting the UKG/Kronos timecards/approved shifts into Chris21
  • Daily operational support for the UKG/Kronos system, including
    • Public holiday scheduling, creating hyper finds, leave delegations, maintaining leave approvers, starting and ending employment terms.
    • Creation, updating and testing of all payroll related data including pay rule creation, EA increases and salaried employee types
  • Ensuring all data migrations are performed in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of all employee records and UKG/Kronos payroll data into Chris21
  • System reporting and providing updates to management regularly on issues, recommendations and metrics defined for the implementation and on-going utilization of the system
  • Supporting the training on the use of the time and attendance system including supporting the design and documentation of technical specifications
  • Supporting the development and implementation of system configuration and improvements
  • Interface with business users & business analysts to support configuration, setup and process refinement
  • Assist with payroll audit compliance requirements, processing of Employee data load and changes in the Payroll application.

What are we looking for?

  • Strong payroll background with demonstrated experience in the use of UKG/Kronos and time and attendance management
  • Strong ability and exposure to the interpretation of Enterprise Agreements
  • Team player with a flexible approach, and strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Exposure to working within a large and complex multi-site business
  • Kronos Administration certificate is desirable
