Job Description

Create virtual and in-person experiences that connect with external stakeholders, improve associate engagement & communications, drive business results, and deliver on Our Purpose & Promise. Responsible for the oversight & execution of key virtual and in-person Kroger meetings/events. Work with cross-functional stakeholders and vendors to ensure quality content is designed and delivered with the desired audience experience. Demonstrate the company's core values of respect, honesty, integrity, diversity, inclusion and safety. - Develop & execute events/meetings that further strategic communications initiatives, support Our Purpose & Promise, and the behaviors to achieve them

• Consult with business leaders & event planners in the design/coordination of key meetings/events for all audiences
• Lead the identification, adoption & operation of virtual experience platforms to provide for enhanced audience engagement vs standard �video conferencing� software
• Partner to establish clear direction & expectations for deliverables, and to articulate a compelling & engaging vision for events
• Advise presenters on effective strategies to help connect their message with the audience & create/modify content for them onsite
• Create & acquire on-trend content (presentations & media) from business partners for events
• Establish creative direction in partnership with leaders, adhering to all relevant style guides
• Provide event layout feedback to vendors and virtual/physical stage direction to business presenters
• Manage & lead a team in operating a variety of software & equipment to create seamless/compelling events
• Write/review program proposals, budgets, creative treatments & preliminary schedules
• Serve as project manager by scheduling resources, coordinating creative efforts, communicating with clients, & adhering to project delivery dates
• Demonstrate current knowledge of trends & equipment; experiment with new ideas/technologies
• Create event plans, direct talent & production for live events, collaborate with production staff to create content & perform editing and shooting tasks
• Solicit, respond & act on feedback on event and program effectiveness
• Evaluate, measure & report on the effectiveness of events/meetings using results to strengthen future communications
• Travel to events/divisions (50%)

Minimum

• 7+ years of experience in a live events or video production environment
• Strong written/oral communication skills
• Strong knowledge & leadership expertise of the total event production process, e.g., presentation guidance, audio support, vendor management and camera direction
• Ability to effectively prioritize & manage multiple complex projects simultaneously on deadline
• Ability to think and produce strategically & creatively
• Strong analytical, interpersonal & problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in multiple environments, e.g. arenas, event centers, conference rooms, hotels

Desired

• Bachelor's Degree related field ( i.e., communications or film & video production)
• Any experience directing & managing large-scale in-person live and virtual events
• Portfolio/examples of previous work
• Experience directing & managing large-scale in-person live and virtual events
• Strong working knowledge of relevant virtual meetings platforms, e.g. Teams, Zoom, BlueJeans
• Strong working knowledge of relevant software & hardware, e.g. PowerPoint, Playback Pro, AnalogWay switchers
