We're Hiring: Kotlin / Java Microservices Developer | Amsterdam (Netherlands)

We're looking for a talented Kotlin / Java Microservices Developer to join our team in Amsterdam on a 6-month contract (ASAP start).

As a Developer, you will design and build scalable microservices using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot, contributing to high-performance, cloud-based applications. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and efficient solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain microservices using Kotlin, Java, and Spring Boot
• Design scalable, high-performance backend systems
• Integrate messaging systems such as Kafka
• Collaborate with architects and stakeholders to define technical solutions
• Ensure code quality, performance, and security best practices
• Participate in deployments and support CI/CD processes
• Work within cloud environments, particularly Azure Local

Required Skills & Experience

• 8–10 years of software development experience
• Strong expertise in Java microservices development
• Hands-on experience with Kotlin and Spring Boot
• Solid understanding of Kafka and event-driven architectures
• Experience with microservices design patterns
• Familiarity with Azure environments is a plus
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills
