Job Description

Everforth ECS is seeking a Knowledge Manager to work in the National Capital Region covering the Pentagon, Falls Church, and Fairfax Please Note: This position is contingent upon contract award.


The War Data Platform (WDP) is a key initiative within the U.S. Department of War's (DoW) AI‑First strategy introduced in early 2026. The WDP focuses on operational warfighting data and aims to accelerate the deployment of artificial intelligence (AI) on the battlefield. The WDP extends to Unclassified, Secret, and Top Secret environments, and supports collaboration between Combatant Commands, Joint Staff directorates, Senior Executive Service leaders, and operational analysts.


• The Knowledge Manager is responsible for designing, operating, and continuously improving the WDP Core Integration Knowledge Management system across all security enclaves, ensuring that leaders, engineers, warfighters, and mission partners can locate and act on critical program information at the speed of operations . This role is central to ECS's commitment to centralized knowledge governance and plays a key part in onboarding new personnel, sustaining DevSecOps operations, and enabling consistent mission execution across the full WDP program lifecycle .
• Supports operation and maintenance of the War Data Platform Core Integration Knowledge Management system across Unclassified and NIPR, Secret and SIPR, and Top Secret and JWICS environments, maintaining centralized information repositories supporting development, testing, authorization, operations, and user adoption activities.
• Organizes and maintains knowledge repositories using platforms such as SharePoint Online, Confluence, GitLab Wiki, and cloud content services to store program documentation, technical runbooks, DevSecOps procedures, training materials, engineering references, and operational lessons.
• Coordinates with software engineering, cybersecurity, platform operations, artificial intelligence integration teams, and mission stakeholders to collect and maintain accurate knowledge artifacts and reference materials.
• Applies metadata tagging, taxonomy structures, and content management standards to improve discoverability, organization, and lifecycle management of program information across security enclaves.
• Assists with coordination of War Data Platform Core Integration community forums that share operational updates, best practices, capability demonstrations, and mission insights across Combatant Commands, Joint Staff organizations, and federal partners.
• Supports implementation of automated content management and search optimization capabilities that improve knowledge access and content organization.
• Tracks repository usage, content updates, and engagement indicators using dashboards and reporting tools to support continuous improvement of knowledge services.
• Develops knowledge documentation updates, repository improvement plans, and governance artifacts that strengthen information sharing, improve mission onboarding, and support consistent War Data Platform Core Integration operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Current Secret security clearance.
• 3–10 years of experience in knowledge management, information management, technical writing, or a closely related field, with demonstrated ability to design and maintain structured content repositories in enterprise or defense environments.
• Hands-on experience with knowledge management and collaboration platforms such as SharePoint Online, Confluence, or GitLab Wiki, including the application of taxonomy design, metadata standards, and content lifecycle governance practices in support of multi-disciplinary technical programs.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities, with a proven ability to weigh the relative costs and benefits of potential actions and identify the most appropriate solution.
• Highly developed interpersonal and oral/written communication skills, with the ability to effectively and professionally interact with a diverse set of stakeholders (from peers to end-users to executive management).
