    About the Role

    We are seeking a talented and creative Email Designer with expertise in Klaviyo and Figma to join our growing digital marketing team. The ideal candidate will have 2-3 years of hands-on experience designing and building email campaigns within Klaviyo, and a strong background in Figma for layout and visual design.

    This role is ideal for a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is passionate about creating beautifully crafted, conversion-driven email content.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Design visually engaging email templates using Figma, in line with brand guidelines and campaign strategy.
    • Build and implement responsive email campaigns in Klaviyo, ensuring cross-device compatibility and optimal user experience.
    • Work closely with the CRM Manager, copywriters, and marketing team to translate campaign briefs into actionable email sequences.
    • Apply email marketing best practices, including CTAs, layout hierarchy, and image optimization.
    • Create and manage Klaviyo flows, including automation, segmentation, A/B testing, and personalization logic.
    • Maintain and enhance design systems for email components and reusable assets in Figma.
    • Monitor and report on email performance (open rates, click rates, conversion), making design-led improvements where appropriate.
    • Stay updated with trends in email design, accessibility standards, and Klaviyo feature releases.

    Required Skills and Experience

    • 2-3 years of experience designing and building emails specifically within the Klaviyo ecosystem.
    • Proficient in Figma, with the ability to design polished UI layouts that are developer- and email-friendly.
    • Solid understanding of email HTML/CSS you dont need to code from scratch, but should understand how your design will render.
    • Experience designing for mobile-first and responsive email layouts
    • Familiar with email marketing KPIs and how to iterate on design to improve them.
    • Excellent attention to detail, consistency, and pixel-perfect execution.
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
    • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

    Desirable (Bonus) Skills

    • Experience with eCommerce platforms like Shopify or WooCommerce.
    • Basic knowledge of Klaviyo data structures (tags, custom properties, event triggers).
    • Understanding of GDPR and email compliance.
    • Familiarity with email testing platforms like Litmus or Email on Acid.
    • Motion or interactive email experience using animated GIFs or CSS transitions

    Salary Range

    Market-related and dependent on experience. This is a mid-level role, with salary typically ranging from R25,000 R35,000 gross per month
