Job Description

looking for an EHS manager for the KKH site

Roles and Responsibilities

  • As EHS Site Leader, you report to the Plant Manager and:Lead and maintain EHS programs, procedures, practices, licenses, permits, and site-specific EHS documentation, records, and plans to assure compliance with local regulations and GE Hydro Power OM requirements Analyse trends and performance, provide routine feedback, and drive actions to improve performance Interface with environmental, health, and safety regulatory agencies as needed Provide guidance and interpretation of EHS regulations and requirements affecting the site to the management team Partner with site leadership and global OM EHS team to manage site EHS compliance activities (inspections, training, monitoring, sampling, PPE, etc.)Drive EHS compliance and program effectiveness through audits, process/equipment reviews, and site inspections Manage site EHS training program and conduct classroom training as needed. Collaborate with Operations and other teams to implement programs to include change management and drive a proactive and positive safety culture Complete all site regulatory reports (air, water, hazardous materials, waste, etc.) and work closely with the site customer to ensure timely submittal of reports Lead incident investigations and drive closure of effective corrective/preventive actions Participate in the continuous improvement processes by providing EHS-related feedback to the site team. Work cooperatively with GE OM and Gas Power EHS resources on business projects and initiatives. Perform additional duties as required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or EHS from an accredited college or university
  • Minimum of 5 years of EHS experience in an industry or manufacturing environment.
  • Advanced computer skills, primarily with MS Office software programs
