The primary responsibility of the Kitting Technician is to perform routine procedures including preparation of a variety of consumables and supplies required for production.

Requirements

JOB DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Weighs and prepares raw materials, verifies that prepared items match the work order requirements, labels and prepares kits for production work orders.
  • Prepares dispensing supplies which may include filter assemblies, tubing sets, autoclaved napkins, autoclaved oversleeves and other materials.
  • Ensures stock levels of commonly used supplies are within established minimum and maximum levels as needed, such as weigh boats, kitting containers, cleaning supplies and assemblies. Performs cycle counts of inventory as needed.
  • Performs filter integrity testing in a clean room environment, as needed.
  • Utilizes equipment, such as an autoclave, depyrogenation oven, sonicator and parts washer, as needed.
  • Follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Completes all documentation by following the ALCOA+ principle (Attributable, Legible, Contemporaneous, Original, Accurate, Available, Enduring, Complete and Consistent) and GDP (Good Documentation Practices) principles.
  • Enters transactions in ERP system accurately and in a timely manner. Reports inventory discrepancies in a timely manner while following corporate guidelines. This may include material issuing, bin to bin transfers and work completion transactions.
  • Adheres to facility cleaning practices and cleaning schedule.
  • Communicates effectively ensuring timely process handoff to the next department. Utilizes MS Teams, intercom and/or radio to communicate with peers and line manager daily.
  • Adheres to established production techniques and safety precautions.
  • Maintains a clean and organized workstation by following standard 6S practices.
  • Works as part of a team, following instructions from line managers daily to meet product deadlines.
  • Ensures all directions with regards to Operations are acted upon in a timely fashion.
  • Complete all other work duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/EXPERIENCE

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • A minimum of 1 year prior work experience preferred
  • Ability to follow instruction (this could be verbal or written procedures) and prioritize tasks;
  • Ability to work accurately with close attention to detail.
  • Ability to work creatively and effectively in a team environment.
  • May need to stand on feet for up to 4 hours consecutively.
  • Able to stand, walk, bend, carry, push and use both hands when performing assigned duties
  • Ability to work in a clean room environment
  • Must be able to lift / push / pull up to 50 pounds
