About the role

Sulzer GT Aero Services is a leading provider of gas turbine maintenance, repair and parts support services, serving customers across the power generation, oil & gas, and industrial sectors. With decades of engineering expertise, we help customers maximise turbine performance, reliability and operational uptime through specialist repair, overhaul and technical support solutions.

Our facility is home to one of the largest gas turbine spare parts inventories in the industry, enabling us to provide rapid support and exceptional service to customers around the world. As our business grows, we are seeking a highly organised and motivated Kitting Stores Person to join our team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Pick and assemble kits of components in line with workshop and customer requirements.

  • Ensure all kits are accurate, complete and delivered to production on schedule.

  • Receive, inspect and book materials into stock using the company's ERP system.

  • Store and manage inventory in designated locations whilst maintaining full traceability.

  • Issue parts and consumables to workshop personnel.

  • Carry out routine cycle counts and stock audits to ensure inventory accuracy.

  • Investigate and resolve stock discrepancies.

  • Support packing, shipping and dispatch activities for customer orders.

Skills & Experience

  • Previous experience within a stores, warehouse, inventory control or kitting environment.

  • Experience within engineering, manufacturing, power generation, industrial or gas turbine sectors would be advantageous.

  • Understanding of stock control processes and inventory management principles.

  • Experience using ERP/MRP systems.

  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and quality.

  • Good organisational and prioritisation skills.

  • Competent IT skills, including Microsoft Office applications.

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

  • Forklift Truck licence would be beneficial but is not essential.

  • A proactive approach with a willingness to support colleagues and learn new skills.
