Position Details

We’re looking for a reliable and dedicated Kitchenhand to join our Palm Lake Pelican Waters Golf Club team. You will play an essential role in supporting our culinary team in our Cardon Restaurant by maintaining a clean, safe, and efficient kitchen environment, ensuring residents and guests enjoy every dining experience.

This is a Casual position, working shifts on an as needed basis across our breakfast & lunch service Monday to Sunday (7am-3pm) and Friday evening dinner shifts (until 9pm).

Responsibilities

  • Assist chefs/cook with basic food preparation and service.

  • Maintain cleanliness and hygiene across all kitchen and dining areas.

  • Wash, sanitise, and store dishes, utensils, and equipment properly.

  • Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.

  • Support stock rotation and assist with receiving and unpacking deliveries.

  • Empty rubbish bins and ensure waste is disposed of safely and hygienically.

  • Clean food preparation areas, fridges, ovens, and other kitchen equipment.

  • Follow workplace health and safety guidelines and report hazards promptly.

  • Work collaboratively with team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

  • Previous experience working in a kitchen, café, or catering environment (preferred).

  • Knowledge of food hygiene and safe work practices.

  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends if required.

  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness and safety.
