Job Description

Position Summary:

The Kitchen Worker is responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen by washing dishes, utensils, glassware, pots & pans, and small kitchen equipment. The Kitchen Worker position also assists with cleaning duties, such as wiping down surfaces, taking out trash, and maintaining floors, walls, and basic kitchen fixtures. The Kitchen Worker supports overall kitchen operations by ensuring a clean and safe environment, helping with minor maintenance tasks as assigned, and following all sanitation and safety guidelines.

Essential Functions:

1. Responsible for redefining hospitality at Graton Resort & Casino while living, supporting, and promoting our values.
2. Perform responsibilities in accordance with all Company standards, policies, and procedures.
3. Wash and sanitize dishes, pots, pans, utensils, glassware, and small kitchen equipment according to established procedures.
4. Operate commercial dishwashing machines safely and correctly.
5. Empty trash and recycling bins and properly dispose of waste materials.
6. Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts, ensuring proper separation and handling.
7. Maintain a clean work area and kitchen by sweeping and mopping floors as needed.
8. Clean food prep stations and kitchen equipment.
9. Maintain the cleanliness of kitchen floors, walls, counters, and sinks throughout the shift.
10. Ensure that all caution and safety markers are displayed properly.
11. Monitor and report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor immediately.
12. Safely use all cleaning tools and chemicals.
13. Adhere to health, sanitation, and safety standards at all times.
14. Stock clean dishes, utensils, and equipment in designated areas.
15. Follow all food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines.
16. Perform opening, closing, and scheduled cleaning duties as assigned by supervisors.
17. Maintain a professional appearance and positive, team-oriented attitude.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

1. Ability to communicate effectively with Guests, Team Members and Management in both written and verbal form.
2. Must possess or obtain a California Food Handlers Certificate.
3. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
4. Must be at least 18 years of age.
5. Working knowledge of cleaning chemicals and safety protocols.

1. Dexterity: full use of arms and hands to hold, grab, pick up objects up to 7 hours/ day 88% of shift
2. Standing: unassisted up to 7 hours/day for 88% of the shift
3. Walking: up to 7 hours/day for 88% of the shift
4. Bending: 2 hours/day for 25% of the shift
5. Twisting: 2 hours/day for 25% of the shift
6. Climbing: including ladders, less than 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
7. Kneeling: 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
8. Squatting: 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
9. Lift/Carry/Pull: up to 50 lbs. up to 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
10. Push: up to 100 lbs. using a pushcart up to 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift
11. Reaching: above the shoulders with the use of arms for 1 hour/day for 13% of the shift

Pay Rate

$20.50/Hour
