Job Description
Get Golfing CIO is seeking a dedicated and reliable Kitchen Porter to join our team at Pyrford Lakes Golf Club for seasonal support. As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of our kitchen & bar, ensuring it meets all health and safety standards. You will work alongside a team of experienced kitchen & front of house staff, gaining valuable experience and knowledge of the food and beverage industry.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring all kitchen & bar equipment and utensils are washed, dried, and put away properly.
- Maintaining high levels of hygiene and cleanliness in the kitchen and dining areas.
- Helping with the preparation and plating of dishes.
- Assisting with stock control and ensuring all deliveries are stored correctly.
- Reporting all maintenance issues to the kitchen manager.
- Assisting the chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
- Laundry
- Back of house cleanliness, store rooms, ice machines, assisting with weekly line cleans.
Requirements
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and under pressure.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Good communication skills and an ability to work well in a team.
- Willingness to maintain high levels of cleanliness and hygiene.
- Good timekeeping and organisational skills.
- Previous kitchen experience preferred, but not essential.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
