Kitchen Porter

You will be working as part of our kitchen team in a beautiful recently renovated 30 bedroom hotel with stunning sea views. The Hotel Victoria is situated in Robin Hood’s Bay, a picture postcard village with easy access to Whitby, Scarborough and the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, it is an area of outstanding beauty with everything you would expect from living on the coast and making the most of the great outdoors

The hotel offers excellent dining facilities with a panoramic sea view restaurant, stunning cocktail bar and lounge, as well as a large friendly traditional Yorkshire Pub. We also host weddings and various events throughout the year

We are looking for a Kitchen Porter to join our professional and dynamic catering team.

The role

As a key member of the Victoria Hotel you will support our kitchen team in the delivery of excellent customer service

Delivering excellent service you will pride yourself on creating and maintaining exceptional standards of cleanliness, working in a fast-paced environemnt working closely alongside both the kitchen and front of house team

Day to day

You will be supporting our chef and his team by potentially assisting with food preparation, operating the dishwasher, and keeping the kitchen clean, tidy and safe. At the end of service, you would be required to ensure that your workspace is cleaned down to a high standard, ready for the following day

You will need

• Some experience of working in a busy kitchen preferred
• Ability to work in a demanding environment
• Self motivated and able to work on own initiative without ongoing direct supervision
• Be an enthusiastic, flexible and adaptable team player

You will be part of a very friendly and dynamic small team who pride themselves on delivering excellent customer experiences.
