Job Description

At Chick-fil-A, we are seeking a motivated and experienced individual to join our leadership team as a Kitchen Manager. In this critical role, you will be responsible for overseeing kitchen operations, ensuring that every guest receives an outstanding experience, and maintaining our high standards of food quality, safety, and service.

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and manage Kitchen Staff throughout an entire shift, ensuring efficient and smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensure all Team Members accurately follow recipes and read tickets to prepare orders correctly.
  • Monitor and enforce accuracy in weights and measurements for all recipe items.
  • Maintain speed of service by ensuring Team Members work at an optimal pace.
  • Oversee the cleanliness of workstations and ensure they are clean at all times.
  • Ensure overall facility cleanliness, including dining room, restroom, and parking lot areas.
  • Step in to perform any kitchen tasks as needed during the shift.
  • Address guest issues and consult with management on complex concerns.
  • Maintain a positive working environment, treating all employees with respect while providing direction and feedback.
  • Communicate employee performance and policy/procedure violations to management for appropriate handling.
  • Adhere strictly to all Company policies and procedures.
  • Learn and impart deep knowledge of food safety systems and processes.

Qualifications:

  • Experience: Previous kitchen management or supervisory experience required.
  • Leadership: Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a team.
  • Skills: Ability to multitask, maintain organization, and ensure high standards of food quality and cleanliness.
  • Attributes: Reliable, detail-oriented, and able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Attitude: Positive, respectful, and committed to upholding Chick-fil-A’s standards of excellence.
  • Punctuality: Must be reliable and able to consistently meet shift start times.
  • Certification: Obtain and maintain ServSafe certification for Food Managers.
