Job Description

We are looking for an experienced and skilled Kitchen Hood & Duct Cleaning Technician to join our Service department.

QUALIFICATIONS:

1. 3-5 Experience in the same field.
2. Good Communication Skills with client and team. Able to speak basic Arabic.
3. Valid Kuwait Transferrable Visa and Kuwait Driving License.
4. Able to join immediately and can work on flexible timings.
5. Ability to work independently in the field.
6. Attention to safety (electrical and refrigerant handling)
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving mindset
8. Technical Knowledge of grease extraction systems, exhaust fans, filters, fire suppression interface, and ductwork cleaning methods.
9. Ability to work at heights (ladders/scaffolding), confined spaces (ducts), and hot, greasy environments; lift up to 25 kg.
10. Certification required NFPA 96 awareness or certification preferred; OSHA or equivalent safety training preferred.
11. Able to operate pressure washers, steam cleaners, rotary brush systems, vacuum units, and chemical degreasers safely
12. Professional demeanor when communicating with restaurant/clients.
13. Can solve any type of on-site cleaning or access challenge (tight spaces, complex duct routing, and heavy buildup).
14. Strong understanding of grease fire hazards and prevention methods.

KEY RESPONSIBILITES:

1. Perform full cleaning of commercial kitchen exhaust hoods, ductwork, exhaust fans, and filters in accordance with NFPA 96 standards.
2. Remove grease buildup from all accessible duct surfaces using mechanical and chemical methods.
3. Set up and operate cleaning equipment (pressure washers, steam cleaners, rotary brushes, and vacuum systems).
4. Take before/after photos and maintain detailed service reports for client and compliance records.
5. Inspect hood systems for damage, corrosion, or fire safety concerns (e.g., blown fusible links, damaged grease cups).
6. Coordinate with kitchen staff to schedule cleaning during off-hours (nights/weekends) to avoid disruption.
7. Follow strict safety protocols for chemical handling, hot work, and working at heights.
8. Maintain cleaning equipment and ensure proper chemical dilution and disposal per local regulations.
