Job Description


We are seeking a hardworking and reliable
Kitchen Helper
to join our kitchen team. The ideal candidate will assist chefs and kitchen staff with basic food preparation, cleaning, dish washing, and maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment. The candidate should be physically fit, able to work in a fast-paced environment, and committed to following food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with basic food preparation (washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients).

  • Washing dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment.

  • Cleaning kitchen workstations, floors, storage areas, and food preparation surfaces.

  • Receiving, checking, and storing food supplies and ingredients properly.

  • Organizing kitchen inventory and restocking supplies as needed.

  • Removing trash and recycling while maintaining cleanliness and hygiene.

  • Following food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.

  • Operating and cleaning kitchen equipment safely.

  • Helping chefs during meal preparation and service when required.

  • Ensuring ingredients and tools are readily available for the cooking team.

  • Monitoring stock levels and informing supervisors when supplies are running low.

  • Supporting opening and closing kitchen procedures.


    • Requirements


  • Previous experience as a
    Kitchen Helper, Kitchen Assistant, or similar role
    is preferred.

  • Basic knowledge of
    food preparation and kitchen hygiene
    .

  • Ability to assist with washing, peeling, chopping, and preparing ingredients.

  • Knowledge of
    food safety and sanitation standards
    .

  • Ability to clean and maintain kitchen equipment and work areas.

  • Physically fit and able to
    stand for long hours
    .

  • Ability to work in a
    fast-paced kitchen environment
    .

  • Good teamwork and communication skills.

  • Ability to follow instructions from chefs and supervisors.

  • Punctual, reliable, hardworking, and well-groomed.

  • Willingness to work
    flexible hours, weekends, and holidays
    when required.
