Are you reliable, hands-on and enjoy being part of a team where your work makes a genuine difference? We're looking for a Kitchen Hand to join our team at our Wulgaru village. Supporting our Chef and broader village team, you'll play an important role in helping us provide nutritious, home-style meals while maintaining a clean, safe and welcoming kitchen environment for our residents.

Why Eureka?

Eureka Villages is one of Australia's leading providers of affordable community living. We create welcoming communities where residents can feel at home, connected and supported. Our values guide how we work every day. We Put People First, Embrace the Challenge, Commit and Follow-Up, Act with Purpose and Build Belonging.

What's the role?

Reporting to the Village Manager and working closely with the Chef and village team, you'll help keep our kitchen running smoothly and safely. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Assisting the Chef with meal preparation and service
  • Washing dishes, utensils and kitchen equipment
  • Cleaning and sanitising food preparation and dining areas
  • Supporting the safe storage, labelling and rotation of food
  • Following food safety, WHS and chemical handling procedures
  • Engaging positively and respectfully with residents and contributing to a welcoming village environment

What's in it for you?

  • $36.09 per hour + super, aligned to Aged Care Award
  • Casual flexibility to suit your lifestyle
  • A supportive, close-knit village team who value your contribution
  • On-the-job training and support to build your skills
  • The reward of knowing your work makes a real difference to residents' daily lives
  • Opportunity to pick up additional shifts as they become available

What's it like working for Eureka?

Our Kitchen Hands are an important part of village life. You'll work alongside the Chef and broader village team in an environment where residents are at the heart of what we do. It's practical, hands-on work, but it's also about the small things that make a difference, from helping meals run smoothly to keeping the kitchen clean, safe and welcoming.

Is this role right for you?

We'd love to hear from you if you:

  • Have previous experience in a kitchen, hospitality or cleaning environment, although this is desirable rather than essential
  • Understand the importance of food hygiene, safe food handling and maintaining high standards of cleanliness
  • Are reliable, organised and comfortable following procedures and instructions
  • Enjoy working as part of a team and interacting respectfully with residents
  • Hold a Food Handling Certificate, or are willing to obtain one

Ready to join Eureka?

If you're looking for casual work where you can be part of a friendly team and contribute to the everyday wellbeing of our residents, we'd love to hear from you.

Apply now and help us continue building a community where people feel at home. Eureka is committed to creating an inclusive workplace where everyone feels respected, supported and able to contribute. All successful applicants will be required to complete relevant pre-employment checks and provide evidence of their right to work in Australia.
