Job Description

As a Floor Manager at fireside MARKET, you will assist our GM and AGM by overseeing back of house operations, as well as front of house operations in an elevated QSR setting. As a floor manager for fireside MARKET your role will involve some administrative aspects to maintain the financial health of fireside MARKET. Experience with tasks like team communication, vendor purchasing, receiving deliveries, food safety, and prep standards are necessary to be successful in this role. In addition, you will also have an opportunity to build and lead great shifts and a positive team. While empowering team members to grow and develop. Above all else, providing a positive attitude throughout the restaurant to maintain exceptional service and ensure that guest needs are met.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Provides and supports excellent guest service in both front-of-house and kitchen operations
  • Train and enforce proper food safety practices and quality standards with the team
  • Assist with truck/vendor purchasing
  • Resolve any guest issues and coach team members on appropriate practices
  • Track sales and forecasting to drive sales and profitability
  • Maintains proper personal hygiene and a well- groomed uniformed appearance
  • Follows company safety standards and attendance polices
  • Demonstrate a positive leadership style while maintaining a strong work ethic

While supporting the kitchen you will have the opportunity to:

  • Craft excellent quality food by using your culinary skills to prepare foods to fireside Markets specifications and standards
  • Work on the food line to ensure orders are being served within our service time goals
  • Lead and motivate kitchen team members during peak periods

While supporting the front-of-house you will have the opportunity to:

  • Make a great first impression by welcoming guests and sharing your knowledge of the menu
  • Accurately input guests’ orders into the point-of-sale system by using your attention to detail
  • Keep guests happy by delivering food in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner
  • Lead and motivate the front-of-house staff by being the best example and staying laser-focused on providing a memorable dining experience to our guests that make them what return to again and again.

While supporting the retail operations you will have the opportunity to:

  • Monitor and maintain grab-and-go food stations, including sandwiches on food warmers and salads or sandwiches in refrigerated coolers.
  • Ensure products are consistently stocked, visually appealing, and within proper holding times
  • Follow food safety and quality standards, promptly discarding items past their designated hold time
  • Provide excellent guest service by keeping stations clean, organized, and well-supplied though out the shift

Education and Requirements for The Job:

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a similar QSR management role
  • 1 year of food and beverage experience in a QSR
  • Serv Safe Certification – Preferred
  • Reading, writing and communication skills
  • Maintains a sense of urgency while working
  • Be able to successfully pass a background check and pre-employment drug screening.
  • Flexibility regarding working shifts and extended hours such as, nights, weekends and holidays.
