Role Purpose: This full-time role is to support the kitchen team in maintaining a clean, organised and efficient working environment, ensuring smooth kitchen operations and upholding food safety and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities:

• Maintain cleanliness of all kitchen areas, including dishwashing, floors and workstations
• Ensure all kitchen equipment, utensils and crockery are cleaned and stored correctly
• Assist with basic food preparation as directed by chefs
• Remove waste and maintain waste disposal areas in line with hygiene standards
• Support chefs during service with general tasks
• Follow all food safety, hygiene and WHS procedures
• Ensure stock is handled, stored and rotated correctly
• Assist with receiving and storing deliveries

Skills and experience:

• Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment (preferred but not essential)
• Strong work ethic and reliability
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good attention to detail and cleanliness
• Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
• Basic understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
• Physically fit and capable of manual handling tasks
