Job Description

Cleans and sanitizes all dishes, silverware, kitchen equipment, and kitchen.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Cleans kitchen supplies such as plates, silverware, serving dishes, pots, pans, and other utensils.
• Controls trash bins and disposal.
• Cleans kitchen equipment and surfaces such as dishwashers, sinks, counters, mats, and floors.
• Follows all safety guidelines, including the proper use of personal protective equipment, use of hazardous materials, and avoidance of mixing chemicals.
• Maintains a clean and organized work environment at all times, following all Health Department guidelines.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

Required:

• High school diploma or equivalent; higher education is a plus.
• Must be able to read, write and speak English.

Preferred:

• Six months previous kitchen dishwashing experience.
• Previous casino and or hospitality experience.
• College degree

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES:

• Lift up to 50 pounds.
• Carry up to 300 pounds.
• Hazards may include, but are not limited to, slips, falls and burns.
• Must be able to work inside and continuously maneuver in and around and throughout the restaurant.
• Must be able to tolerate areas containing secondary smoke.
• Bend, stoop, crouch, crawl, reach, kneel, twist and grip items.
• Stand and walk for long periods of time.
• Maneuver up and down stairs.
• Respond to visual and aural clues.
• Must be able to work in an environment with a high noise level.
• Must be able to work in extremely hot and cold temperatures.
• Must be able to work at a fast pace and in stressful situations.
