Job Location: Camp Hanes - King, NC 27021
Position Type: Seasonal
Salary Range: $10.00 - $13.00 Hourly

Job Shift: VariableCooks and kitchen assistants will work together to support daily meal service by prepping ingredients — washing, peeling, chopping, and cooking (staff must be 18+ to operate cooking equipment) — as well as preparing salads and desserts. Additional duties include washing dishes and cooking equipment, sanitizing countertops and cutting boards, cleaning floors, disposing of trash, organizing linen laundry, and maintaining all kitchen, prep, and storage areas in compliance with health code standards. Staff are also expected to assist guests with food allergies or dietary needs and to uphold high standards of personal hygiene throughout their shift.
Schedule
Two shifts are available: First shift runs 6:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.; second shift runs 3:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Some weekend availability is required, though scheduling is flexible. During the summer, hours can reach up to 40 per week. Spring and fall hours are 25–30 per week when groups are in session. All positions are part-time and seasonal.

QualificationsApplicants must be at least 16 years old and able to lift up to 50 pounds. A background check and drug screening are required, as is completion of online training. First Aid, CPR, and Oxygen certifications are also required — Camp Hanes will provide these courses free of charge. ServSafe or NC Safe Plates certification is preferred but not required.
