The Role

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic part time Kitchen Assistant to join our small, kitchen team on a casual basis (average 20 hrs per week).

You’ll support the Head Chef and wider kitchen team in delivering a beautiful food service to our members and event clients. This hands-on role is perfect for someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and enjoys being part of a collaborative team.

The hourly rate is £13.50 and we are very flexible with how the hours are split across the week. We are open Mon-Fri (8am until late) but there would be occasional weekend shifts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the kitchen and back-of-house.

  • Wash and sanitise crockery, cutlery, glassware, kitchen utensils, and equipment.

  • Ensure all kitchen surfaces, floors, and work areas are kept clean and tidy at all times.

  • Empty bins and manage waste disposal in accordance with food safety and recycling procedures.

  • Support chefs with basic preparation tasks and event setup when required.

  • Assist with the cleaning and organisation of kitchen equipment, storage areas, and refrigerators.

  • Ensure health & safety and hygiene regulations are followed at all times.


About You

  • Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is preferred but not essential.

  • A positive attitude and willingness to learn is a must have!

  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills.

  • Reliable, punctual, and team-oriented.

  • A food hygiene certificate would be great but essential as training will be provided.
