As the Statewide Kinship Navigator Supervisor this position leads and manages the RRTS model, overseeing the work of the Kinship Specialists as well as the daily service area operations related to approval and support of Relative, Kinship and Fictive Kin Families. This position ensures that the RRTS Kinship Services Program is designed, implemented, and operating effectively, allowing children to achieve successful outcomes.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides case-level supervision for all assigned Kinship Specialists as needed.
- Assures that all policies are followed and that outcomes are achieved per contractual agreements.
- Provides regular supervision to Kinship Specialists guiding staff in ways that achieve desired contractual goals.
- Coordinates service provision in assigned region, with particular emphasis on meeting contractual expectations for frequency, duration, and mode on monthly supportive contacts.
- Assures that each staff is trained in Kinship Navigator service delivery.
- Works with the Quality and Compliance staff to ensure that the database captures the necessary information on all cases. Utilizes Quality Dashboard to provide individual Caseworker supervision related directly to individual performance in meeting contract expectations.
- Reviews 100% of monthly reports prior to submission, ensuring a thorough and unbiased assessment of family strengths and suitability for KPC approval and/or adoption approval.
- Assigns families to the Kinship Specialist for licensing and/or support.
- Ensures Myevolv is updated timely with current family and child placement information.
- Assures timely, professional, and effective connections between Four Oaks
and HHS Licensing/Social Work Case Managers, Supervisors, and Social Work Administrators.
- Coaches, mentors and supports Caseworkers in meeting contract requirements regarding services and support, track and monitor individual and collective Caseworker job performance.
- Effectively leads staff to ensure that clients have successful outcomes, coordinating with Success and/or Case Managers (internal and external) to ensure services provided enable successful outcomes.
- Provides temporary caseload coverage due to position vacancy or employee leave.
- Performs all other duties as assigned.
- Supervises Kinship Navigators with the RRTS contract by doing the following:
- - Documents service delivery including objectives of services and resources provided or referred.
- - Assists with program design by leveraging professional knowledge base to develop effective, standards-based treatment and care protocols.
- - Provides plan for and may participate in direct coverage of activities with clients.
- - Creates a positive, outcome-oriented culture for staff and managers under his/her oversight.
- - Oversees the hiring, development, supervision, and retention of qualified staff in his/her/their assigned programs.
- - Implements and provides leadership interpretation/guidance for agency policies and procedures.
- - Provides case, skill and/or personal supervision dependent on assigned program responsibilities.
- - Supervises staff on quality and timeliness of service provision and case progress.
- - Performs all other duties as assigned.
QualificationsWhat you need:
BA Degree in Human Services, Social Work, Behavioral Sciences or related field plus one year of related experience. At least one year of previous supervisory experience is highly preferred. Knowledge of foster care and adoption systems is preferred.
