Job Description

The Kinetex Utility is responsible for processing Kinetex material on all Kinetex finishing lines along with moving rolls, shafting beams, and staging film for the Stitch Bonding machines..

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Follow startup/shutdown procedures and start up/shut down equipment
  • Load materials utilizing lift truck and/or crane
  • Sew on materials using sewing equipment
  • Follow and complete all processing check off sheets to ensure proper processing
  • Carry out inspection and fill out appropriate inspection sheets
  • Ensure machinery settings are within specification supplied
  • Follow all testing and inspection procedures and record results
  • Enter production and produce tickets for material via use of computer, scan gun, and printer
  • Operate rollup and slitting equipment
  • Load cores, doff rolls and place in bins utilizing cranes and/or lift trucks
  • Assist in changing out large pieces of equipment
  • Keep work area clean and orderly
  • Follow all safety procedures and work in a safe manner

Performance Expectations (if applicable):

  • Required to lift up to 50lbs
  • Standing is required for the majority of the shift
  • Reaching and Bending is required frequently during the shift
  • Must be able to use scissors, writing utensils, and small tools
  • Must be able to distinguish colors and shade differences
  • Occasionally required to climb, balance, and kneel

Experience/Education Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/GED or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to follow written and/or oral instructions
  • Ability to deal with problems involving variables in standardized situations
  • Ability to work well with others
  • Excellent communication and follow up skills
  • Excellent disciplinary record, attendance record, and safety record required
  • Manufacturing experience in carpet finishing preferred

Other Requirements:

  • Must be able to work day or night, weekday or weekend as scheduled
  • Must be able to work overtime
  • All accidents must be reported immediately
  • Perform any other duties as assigned
  • Safety equipment must be worn as required to include steel/composite toed shoes
  • Report to management any quality, safety, or potential problems encountered while performing the job
  • Responsible for quality and safety of his/her own output
