Our multidisciplinary clinic has multiple private rooms, a dedicated gym area and an open rehab space. We have a large referral base from family medicine and allied health professionals throughout South Calgary and are always working on new partnerships. The clinic offers innovative programs such as GLA:D Back, GLA:D Hip & Knee as well as collaborative care with Physiotherapists, Physiatrists, Chiropractors, Massage Therapists and other disciplines all in-house!

Exceptional patient service, collaborative care and continued growth and improvement are highly valued at Momentum Health. We are presently seeking a Part-Time enthusiastic Kinesiologist to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate must be able to commit to at least a one-year term.

Employment Type: Part-Time
Required Hours: Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday 1:30pm-8pm, Wednesday 2pm-8pm, and potentially alternating Saturdays 8am-2pm

Start Date: As soon as possible

Compensation: $18-$20 per hour

Primary Responsibilities

  • Prescription, application, supervision and education of patient’s Therapeutic Exercise Programs including: AROM, PROM, stretching, proprioception, coordination, balance and strengthening
  • Assist Physiotherapy assessments and re-evaluations
  • Learn and administer several hands-on treatment techniques including basic trigger point release, MRT, Instrumented Soft Tissue Release, Friction massage and hold relax stretching
  • Application and removal of modalities including heat, ice, ultrasound, TENS, IFC, micro-current and Muscle Stimulation
  • Assisting with clinic up-keep such as laundry, cleaning patient beds, filling ultrasound gel, and cleaning machines and tools
  • Greet patients and ensure they have a comfortable experience in the clinic
  • A wonderful opportunity to network with other professionals in the field such as physiotherapists, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and registered massage therapists

The Successful Candidate will have the Following Qualifications

Degree in Kinesiology

Excellent knowledge of anatomy and physiology

Previous volunteer or work experience in a Physiotherapy or Multidisciplinary clinic an asset
