Lead Teacher Responsibilities & Duties

• Internalize and deliver lesson plans aligned to the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) for the assigned content and grade level.
• Provide a supportive and inclusive learning environment for students with diverse needs
• Assess students' progress and adjust teaching methods as necessary
• Collaborate with other teachers, staff, and families to ensure student success
• Implement positive behavior interventions and support (PBIS) and other behavior management strategies
• Ability to effectively manage a classroom and maintain a positive learning environment
• Be able to interpret and explain student data and progress monitoring
• Experience using technology and multimedia resources in the classroom
• Stay current on best practices and developments in education

Qualifications: Lead Teacher Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor's degree in Education or related field
• Valid Texas state certification or license as a teacher. ESL supplement preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues
