Job Description

• Execute preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for the Kiln, Cooler, and Coal Mill mechanical systems.
• Monitor kiln shell temperature, alignment, tyre–roller gaps, bearings, lubrication systems, and overall equipment performance.
• Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform root cause analysis to reduce recurrence.
• Ensure safe operation of coal mill systems including explosion‑prevention mechanisms, CO monitoring, and inerting systems.
• Maintain and update maintenance logs, checklists, SOP compliance, and work permits.
• Coordinate with Production, Process, Electrical & Instrumentation teams for smooth plant operation.
• Support shutdown planning, execution, and post‑shutdown reliability improvements.
• Identify, request, and manage critical mechanical spares for kiln and coal systems.
• Lead or participate in reliability improvement initiatives and cost‑optimization activities.
• Ensure full compliance with safety standards, LOTO, PPE, and site regulations.

• Education: Diploma or B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience:
  • Diploma: 3–5 years in kiln/coal mill mechanical maintenance (cement/steel/mining/power preferred).
  • B.Tech: 2–4 years in similar heavy‑mechanical maintenance roles.
• Strong understanding of rotary equipment, gearboxes, hydraulics, lubrication, welding & fabrication.
• Hands‑on experience with heavy mechanical troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Familiarity with CMMS/ERP-based maintenance systems (preferred).
• Ability to work in shift operations and in high-temperature industrial environments.
