As a Coordinator, you’ll assist with program operations, staff support, and participant experience while spending the majority of your time working directly with children and families. You’ll balance direct service, team support, and day-to-day operations, playing a key role in keeping programs running smoothly and successfully at the YMCA.

- Build strong relationships with children, families, and staff using a “Listen First” approach
- Support fundraising efforts and community engagement initiatives
- Follow all organizational policies and procedures
What We’re Looking For

- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Comfortable working with diverse groups of children and families
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills, including Office 365
- Patient, energetic, and attentive
This Role Might Not Be a Fit If…
- You prefer a desk-only or administrative role
- You’re not comfortable working directly with infants, toddlers, and young children
- You prefer a predictable, quiet work environment
- You’re not comfortable working evenings, weekends, or holidays
- You don’t enjoy balancing multiple responsibilities at once
What the Job Is Really Like
- You’ll spend most of your time actively supervising, engaging, and caring for children
- You’ll move between age groups, activities, and program needs throughout the day
- You’ll balance hands-on child care with administrative responsibilities
- You’ll support staff while stepping in wherever needed
- Your day will be active, fast-paced, and centered around children and families
What You Bring
- Experience in child care, youth programs, or a related field preferred
- Ability to engage and supervise children across multiple age groups
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with families
- Ability to stay organized in a fast-paced environment
- Willingness to be flexible and support a variety of program needs
Why You’ll Love It Here
- Make a direct impact on children and families every day
- Active, engaging, and child-centered work environment
- Opportunity to grow skills in leadership and early childhood/youth development
