This position serves as the foundational position for Gateway Kids ministry.

This position serves as the foundational position for Gateway Kids ministry. Individuals in this position will serve in this capacity every service.

Principal Job Responsibilities:
PRESCHOOL: Team Member
• Monitors & engages with kids
• Distributes lesson and game items
• Helps lead kids in service engagement
• May be trained and developed to teach lessons and/or MC elementary services, leading kids through activities, transitions, games, and service elements with ene gy, confidence, and age-appropriate communication.
• Position applies to both Elementary and Preschool

ELEMENTARY: Team Member
• Monitors & engages with kids
• Distributes lesson and game items
• Helps lead kids in service engagement
• Position applies to both Elementary and Preschool

CHECK-IN: Team Member
• Greets families
• Checks families in who are already in the Rock system
• Provides a high level of customer service for kids and families during the check-in process

Kids Team Member Training Requirements
Required to watch one leadership video within first two months of hire, with one new leadership video each quarter thereafter

General Skills & Qualifications:
• Demonstrates a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and models Christian character, integrity, and appropriate behavior for children.
• Enjoys working with children and demonstrates genuine care, patience, compassion, and enthusiasm for helping kids grow in their faith.
• Prioritizes the safety and well-being of every child, consistently following all Kids Ministry safety policies, procedures, and supervision guidelines. Communicates clearly and respectfully with children, parents, Serve Team, and leadership
• Strong time-management skills and multitasking ability.

General Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to:
- Sit/stand for long periods of time.
- Occasionally kneel or crouch.
- Lift and/or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 lbs.
