33The Kids Express and Urgent Care Tech is responsible for supporting nurses, nurse practitioners, and physicians in delivering patient care, with attention to the development levels of each patient. This role requires strong communication skills, a willingness to accept delegated tasks, and the ability to ask questions and report relevant patient information appropriately. The Tech handles patient information with a clear understanding of confidentiality and privacy standards. They comply with the hospital’s safety management policies to maintain a hazard-free environment and reduce the risk of injury. The position also reflects a commitment to the hospital’s mission and promotes a patient and family centered experience. The Tech serves as a change agent, adapting to census fluctuations and meeting the evolving needs of both internal and external customers.
Education
High School Diploma or GED is required
Experience
1 year of PCA, STNA, or Medical Assistant experience is required
1 year customer service experience is required
Experience documenting in an electronic medical record (EMR) is required
Certification
Certified Medical Assistant is strongly preferred. This is required to work to the full scope of practice at Kids Express and Urgent Care locations
Department Specific Job Details:
Every third weekend requirement (Sat/Sun) hours will be 9a-8p.
