The KIDCO Recreation Worker provides direct supervision and recreational programming for children ages 5–11 in KIDCO After School, KIDCO Summer, and School's Out programs offered during school breaks. The position assists with planning and leads safe, structured, age-appropriate recreational activities, including games, sports, arts and crafts, and other group activities. The Recreation Worker maintains participant safety and accountability, reinforces positive behavior, and communicates appropriately with participants, parents/guardians, school personnel, and recreation staff.
Work is performed under the supervision of a Recreation Program Coordinator or designated site leadership. This position does not supervise employees
Indoor and outdoor work with some exposure to physical, ergonomic, or emotional hazardous environment.

Any combination of relevant education and experience may be substituted on a year-for-year basis.
Previous paid or volunteer experience working with children ages 5–11 in a recreation, youth development, childcare, camp, school, or similar setting.

Experience maintaining participant safety, accountability, and positive behavior in a group setting
