Job Description

A kind and generous family in Newport Beach, CA is looking for a full-time live-out executive housekeeper. The role will be in person Monday through Friday, typically 8am-12pm though there is some flexibility if 12-4pm is preferred. The candidate will work one weekend day per week as well. Additional hours can be completed remotely and will include errands, grocery shopping, etc. The candidate will very rarely work 40 hours per week but a full-time salary will be provided for flexibility and availability. This position is well-suited for someone who appreciates a structured yet balanced schedule and is comfortable adapting when needed.

Responsibilities

• Full housekeeping: daily tidying, deep cleaning on a regular schedule, laundry, bedding, bathrooms, kitchen upkeep
• Laundry is a major part of the role and requires laundress level skillset including extensive experience and a solid understanding of fabrics and their care including leather, silk, etc. The candidate should be excellent at folding neatly, ironing, and maintaining organized closets and drawers.
• Maintaining organization throughout the home which is approximately 4200 sq feet (single level, 4 bed 4.5 bath)
• Household upkeep tasks including taking out the trash, resetting spaces, and maintaining overall cleanliness
• Light outdoor upkeep (e.g., washing down patio, small exterior tasks)
• Running errands: light grocery shopping which will include communicating with the family's chef, returns, tailoring drop-off/pick-up, and UPS/mail
• Light meal prep (primarily simple meal prep for the children)
• Keep track of household supplies and restocking as necessary
• Very occasional childcare of two toddlers
• Potential for travel if the candidate is available and excited to travel with the family

Qualifications

• Highly independent and self-directed
• Prior knowledge and know-how of couture garment care.
• Comfortable working in a low-communication, calm environment
• Able to manage tasks without frequent check-ins or ongoing direction
• Naturally organized and proactive • Professional, discreet, and respectful of boundaries
• Take pride in their work • Child friendly • Comfortable with a small dog though the dog is only at the house 20% of the time
• Minimum of 10 years of experience working as a housekeeper or stewardess
• Driver's license, clean driving record, and willing to drive own car (mileage reimbursed)
• Knowledge of how to care for high-end clothes, bags, and furnishings
• Be delicate and careful when cleaning
• Must be legal to work in the US

Salary and Benefits

$70-75k annual pay and benefits including health and 401k
