Job Description

Salary £25,989-£28,142 Per annum | Permanent| Full Time - 37 hours per week


International Sponsorship – this role is not open to international sponsorship

The post is focused on providing specialist technical support, with a strong emphasis on advanced data analysis and Excel expertise, to ensure we are meeting our statutory duties. This is a permanent, full-time position and, whilst the post will be officially based at County Hall in Preston, flexible working arrangements will be available.

As the fourth largest local authority in the country and the largest in the North of England, the team has oversight of over 30,000 young people aged 16 and 17 who live in Lancashire.

You will play a key role in meeting our statutory duty to track the participation status of all these young people and will also make a direct contribution to the achievement of the priorities within our Education Strategy for 2022 to 2025.Whilst full training will be provided on the systems and processes we use, applicants should be able to demonstrate:

  • Strong skills in data processing and handling
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, with advanced Excel skills highly desirable
  • Working knowledge of, or experience with, data systems
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication skills
  • Good analytical ability
  • Experience of working collaboratively within a team
  • The ability to work effectively to deadlines
