Key Account Specialist – Rare Disease & Insulin

Your new role

As a Key Account Manager, you will manage key stakeholder accounts across public and private sectors, including hospitals, medical centres, healthcare providers, and patient advocacy groups, as well as:

  • Identify decision-makers, understand their business priorities, and offer tailored solutions to drive growth.
  • Promote Novo Nordisk’s products within your therapy areas, ensuring clients are informed about new treatments and services.
  • Deliver on sales targets, identify new business opportunities, and contribute to expanding our customer base.
  • Build lasting relationships with clients, providing insights and solutions that align with their strategic goals.
  • Support new product launches, tenders, and strategic projects to enhance client engagement.

Your new department

Rare Disease & Insulin Business Unit is accountable for marketing and sales of products in obesity, diabetes and rare disease portfolio and business development strategy in line with Novo Nordisk vision and mission to ensure achievement of company goals.

Your skills & qualifications

As our next Key Account Specialist, you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Life Sciences, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in sales, account management, or related roles, with exposure to both State & Private sectors.
  • Proven expertise in therapy areas, strong product knowledge, and a solid understanding of the market landscape.
  • Exceptional client relationship management, negotiation, and strategic thinking skills.
  • Strong commercial acumen, sales target achievement, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and adaptability skills.
  • A valid driver’s license and willingness to travel across Gauteng East, Free State & Northern Cape.
